First Church North Adams is welcoming inside and out. If you are tired of the "Steeplechase," tired of looking for a church where you feel included, please come visit with us. The current church was built in 1865, features ten stunning Tiffany windows. Its pulpit was the home to preachers like Washington Gladden, founder of the Social Gospel Movement in the United States. Services are held at 10:00 AM on Sunday. Communion, offered the first Sunday of the month, is open to all who wish to partake. Jazz Sunday services are held the third Sunday of the month. First Church emphasizes arts, music and the talents of its member and the larger community. If you would like more information send to you, please email us. EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 8: Please join us for a Sunrise Easter Service at Whitcomb Summit Resort at the top of Route 2 in Florida, MA near the Elk Statue. The sun will rise around 6:15, and the service will begin around 6:10. Please dress warmly and bring a folding chair. Coffee and pastry will be available after the service, down at the church. OUR REGULAR EASTER SERVICE will be held at 10 AM in the sanctuary. with our full Choir. Sermon delivered by Reverend Pat Kriss: "The meaning of 'Empty.' "

Prayers of gratitude that losses from the storm were limited to material things. We share our prayers especially with the residents of the Spruces who have sustained damage from flooding to their housing units. First Church is organizing to provide replacement belongings for those who lost their things Sunday. More will follow.
